An absolute must read

As a grandmother for a 13 year old step grandson that just came into my life recently, I found myself struggling to communicate and interact with him. I didn’t have the skill set or the patience to be the grandma that I am to all my other grandchildren
I took this as a challenge, and have been educated myself on how to be there for his needs with understanding, empathy, and the right thing to say.
This book has so many tips and skills to help.
I have so many friends who have children, grandchildren, friends, and relatives that are on the spectrum. It is so wonderful that she is bringing this out to the light.
These children are precious and they add a wonderful dimension to our lives. Thank you for writing this.

the workbook section was invaluable

This book is jam packed with advice and guidance on how to raise a teen on the spectrum. The workbook section at the end was invaluable for my son. Understanding on and off topic conversations is a real struggle for him. The multiple-choice questions provided an easy and enjoyable way for him to practice these essential social skills which most young adults on the spectrum struggle with! The authors stories about her son are thread throughout the book which highlight how much this Mom just gets it! I found the chapter on being 'neurodiverse and rocking' incredibly inspiring—I even shared some of its content with my school’s PTA to promote inclusion!
A superb listen – I would highly recommend.
