Great Resource for Parents!

As the mother of a daughter with autism and ADHD I am always looking for new resources - this book is now on my list. I found the discussion around the differences of ADHD in boys vs girls to be quite insightful. I appreciated the specific examples for activities and the preparation of space for the child. I found the book to be well written and the narration was easy to listen to and comprehend. Highly recommend.

Good information

We’re being a mom that has two kids who have ADHD, this is a really good book to get parents started with understanding the various behaviors that come with it. Both of my kids exhibit different behaviors with their ADHD. One of them has explosive behavior which we have had to work really hard on and I found some really helpful tips within this book. The other one is very fluttery with her thoughts and it is hard to keep her on track or remember things And think before she does things. The book covers a lot of various details and I think the Vegas thing for parents is to understand what ADHD is and how it affects your child. The other thing I’ve learned is, I cannot expect to have a cookie cutter, kid, and the way I thought I would be parenting. My kids has had to change based on who they are and how their brain works.

Important

I love how practical the strategies in the book are. Parenting kids with ADHD requires patience and understanding. Especially nowadays electronic devices and social media are making human beings more and more distracted. parenting kids to make them behave could be harder and harder.
This book benefits those who are exploring the art of not only parenting kids with ADHD and kids.
