Helpful Advice

I got this for my teenage son who’s been really anxious in some social situations—school, parties, even texting sometimes. We started going through it together, and he actually wants to do the exercises. It's helping him feel less alone and more capable, which is huge. He is not suddenly the center of attention, but I’ve seen him start to open up and try new things. Definitely a step in the right direction.

The cover drew me in.

I found this book very interesting and full of great information not only for teens but for us adults that struggle with social skills. As an introvert that chapter was extremely helpful and full of great facts. The book covered so many topics and they were all good and full of hints, exercises and interesting facts.

Social Skills exercises

When I was a teen, I was not good at social skills, but I was bullied, and I had no friends. My purpose in buying this audiobook is to help my teens find stress-free ways to overcome anxiety by hearing the skills from the author that we have the power to overcome anxiety. As I listened carefully to the narration, I took notes to help me make public speaking smooth without being shy. If we learn how to handle peer pressure, we can stay ahead of our friends and family in terms of knowledge and skills, as outlined in the audiobook. I enjoy the advice from the book.

From wallflower to social butterfly

I bought this for my timid 15-year-old son, who would rather do anything than talk to peers. To my surprise, he listened to it independently after I introduced the first chapter on our drive to school.
The public speaking techniques helped him survive his dreaded class presentation with newfound confidence. He's been practicing the conversation starters at lunch and finally joined a club last week - something he'd refused to consider before.
