Empathic guidance!
I felt like the author really understands addiction and trauma because of the personal stories I also enjoyed the holistic type healing strategies included. The book also discusses substance abuse addiction and behavioral addiction as well. The connection between trauma and criminal behavior is interesting. When relapse happens, there is also a strategy for that. For the caregivers, relationships are discussed. This is a must-have for anyone who knows, has or cares for someone who has addictions or trauma.
