About this listen
Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.
Warrior Ryn Weaver has proven her courage against a relentless enemy. But now in the great city of Kaldor, she and her Blackwatch friends find themselves in unfamiliar territory.
Big city politics were not in the Blackwatch training manuals and Ryn finds that being Paired with Tribunal Mage, Dagan Drake is dangerous to her health.
When tensions ferment in the streets and a traitor is suspected within the Tribunal itself. Will Ryn and Dagan be able to stop a full-scale uprising, or will the Kingdom of Myrcea be drawn into a war they might not win?
Uprising is the second installment in The Blackwatch Chronicles. If you like electrifying action, rich characters, and magical battles, then you'll love H.M. Clarke's epic fantasy series.

Excellent 2nd book of the series!
The adventure for Ryn and Dagan continues in book two, picking up right where book one ended. They and the other members of their party are in the middle of the city trying to ferret out traitors. There isn't much downtime in the action from page one unless Ryn is healing. I really loved how the party is progressing together, and we get to see more from each of them. I appreciated how the author addressed different aspects of the races in this book and how hatred can be stirred up anywhere. We learned some secrets in this book, and yet those still left me with many more questions for book three. I'm really excited to see if my guesses are right or wrong as the books continue.
