About this listen
One man stands resolute in the face of utter destruction. Valengetrix, warrior commander of the armies of Leongard, must endure the trials of war on land and over sea, from the horrors of necromantic sorcery, to the might of the emperor's fleet. Marooned upon a treacherous isle with the princess whose kingdom he swore to defend, together they must endeavor to survive the elements, the monstrous creatures that inhabit the island, and the pervasive threat of a sinister and bloodthirsty cult.
From the highest peaks of the lush green mountains to the dark depths below the ruins of a long dead city, they embark upon a quest that will test their limits and push them both to the very edge of their endurance. Sword and sorcery meets spear and fang in a harrowing tale of adventure and survival upon a ravenous isle.
Against the primal terrors lurking beneath the jungle canopy and the shadows that creep over eldritch stones, only the stout of heart and iron of will can hope to overcome such trials—only a titan amongst men.
Titan of the Isle is part three in the continued saga of Valengetrix, exiled warrior of Aratania.
Excerpt from "The Skittering Darkness"
The hollow passageway guided them from the bioluminescent grotto and into a gallery of marbled columns, presenting a picturesque view that left Aurelia awed and temporarily unmindful of the figures that hunted them. Val, however, looked about the vast chamber of ancient architecture with a sense of foreboding rather than naive wonderment. Enormous stone spires ascended high above, disappearing into the empty blackness, with only a guess as to how far they ran below their feet. The solitary, organic light displayed their true majesty, though it wasn’t the pattering of footsteps behind them that filled him with dread, but rather what the darkness beyond disguised from view.
Pillars of marble supported high ceilings and arched doorways leading to smaller chambers, each with its own unique design. Dust and debris embellished every surface. Cobwebs clung to the corners of the rooms, giving it a sense of archaic abandon that hid the mysteries of a bygone era beneath.
“Look,” whispered Aurelia, pointing a finger at what appeared to be a gallery of carved stone figures. “Statues. But of whom?”
One look at the intricately detailed sculpting of their faces, the bulky armor and outlandish weapons in their grasp and Val knew with certainty they represented the elder race who once claimed this world and that above as their own. Regal figures with chiseled features, and stern expressions met their gaze. Their royal poses and noble appearances gave the impression that they were once the guardians of vast untold knowledge, now long forgotten by the inheritors of Auropia.
“Atlamerians,” Val whispered in response. “First of the gods’ creation, though they’ve not set foot upon the surface world for thousands of years.”
“Do they live here then? Beneath the earth?”
“From the looks of these ruins, I’d say they’ve not lived here for a long time. It’s what may have taken up in their stead that troubles me.”

Tim is an ordinary thoroughly modern, Atomic Age man of the 1980s or 90s. He has a nice apartment in a typical high-rise and a luxury Skycar to toodle about in when he wants to leave the city. This morning, Tim is headed to the department store–not to shop, but to look again at his favorite mannequin. We won’t judge him because we don’t know the story yet. We are about to.
