When Christine Wexner, aspiring author, finds herself trapped in a first class cabin with a chatty Charles Winston, she has no idea how much her life is about to change. The young self-proclaimed "fat girl" can't help her annoyance when Charles insists on talking her ear off during their flight. That is until he reveals his knowledge on all things vampire. As the first female author of a history of vampires, Christine is soon hooked.
By the time the flight lands in New York, Christine is sad to part ways with her new friend. When her connecting flight is cancelled due to a blizzard however, Christine soon comes face to face with Charles all over again. Only this time, the mysterious stranger is offering her a place to stay. Cute short story
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. This was good for a very short story It was superficial because it would be difficult to get into detail in such a short amount of time. There wasn't much to the book which made it easier to read/listen to. I enjoy Cynthia Mendoza's book and the narrator did a great job. I will continue to read her stuff.

All Is Not As It Seems
This is a paranormal, short, Billionaire romance featuring a tech company CEO and a writer who meet on an airplane. When the writer's flight gets canceled due to weather, the "kindly" and sexy CEO offers her a room in his NY penthouse….. This semi-gothic romance short story does feel a little rushed due to its length, which is to be expected. Cynthia Mendoza has written paranormal shorts that I liked better than this one, but I did like this one too. As far as 1-hour audiobooks go, it's well-written entertainment.
Claire Lockhart has a youthful but expressive voice and reads the descriptive paragraphs well. She has a pretty good feel for dialogue, and I wasn't distracted by any mispronunciations. There were a couple of rough spots where I think a re-read was in order because the inflection was off, but overall I think she did a good job. I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review.

Strange
This was a feel good story from the H/h view. The H was tired of being alone and when he discovered the h he knew he had found what he was looking for. Even though it is a strange tale it was a good one and ended well for both of them. I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

More heart than heat
Not as dirty as Cynthia's other titles, but still give it a try. It has a vampire and a bookish writer with a HEA so I'm a happy camper. Claire gave distinct voices to the 2 main characters. Her voice sounds familiar, as if I have heard something else performed by her but under a different name. 🤷
Give it a listen, especially if you have the romance as on.
