Facing exile, Modrad sets out on a mission to gain entry back into Vargrom, the mountain city he has always called home. Even if he can survive the journey and succeed in his quest, the council may have other plans for Modrad, leaving the dwarf to ponder his future.

Modrad's Exile

Modrad's Exile is a fast paced and engaging book. It moves along nicely and the characters are well developed. The narrator does good job of bringing the characters to life. It has an interesting story line that kept my attention and had me interested in coming back to this world.

"Vargrom" was a great little fantasy short story.

I really enjoyed listening to "Vargrom: Modrad's Exile." It was fantasy that I could understand. Some fantasies are hard to follow but this one was nice and a good listen. I liked all the characters and of course Modrad. My hope is that Kevin Hopson continues this adventure.

J. Scott Bennett did a nice job with the narration. His voice was a great match for the story. I liked the way he changed it up for the other characters besides Modrads. This shows him to be a versatile voice actor with an excellent performance.

Great D&D style short

A short style about a dwarf and his quest after exile. Good quick pace, loyal companions, dragons, treasures, and more. Would like to see more from this world. Great narrator as always. Never been disappointed in one of his performances regardless of the base material he is reading. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Good listen!

I listened to this short book because I enjoy other works involving dwarves by Tolkien and Pratchett. It was well written and narrated. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
