About this listen
Vicky thought when doing her three months farm work in QLD that the worst thing would be spiders and sunburn. She was wrong. A dark creature stalks the farm, brutally killing all who break the rules of nature and sin against the Earth. The spriggan has awoken and it won't sleep again til it has cleansed its grove.
A fun, dark, and brutal tale of nature's bloody revenge on modern man and a chain smoker with a chainsaw.
This book is 50k words, best listened to at night. For 18 and up.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Except, perhaps, for Winston Smith. Whilst working at the Ministry of Truth, rewriting history, he secretly dreams of freedom. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Very interesting.
I had also read this book on Book Sprout.
I enjoyed it very much.
Only down side is I listened bit by bit. I will have to read it again all at once.
I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I really wanted the Spriggan and Brie to Win!
I I would have like the story more if Vicky would have just let The Spriggan and Brie complete what they started. I guess this could have been considered a horror story, but I truly believe what mankind has done to Mother Nature is the true Horror story. Will gladly read more by this author!!

Mixed feelings
I got the ebook copy as a free copy in exchange for a review, not realizing in my haste that i signed up for it. I don’t have much time to read so I purchased the audio copy to be able to complete my part of the deal.
I had mixed feelings about the story line and the reader. Maybe it is just me but I didn’t feel a connection to any one of the characters. So better characters or character build up would be helpful. I understand there was little as far as each character getting to know each other that’s parts of the story but I as a reader would like to feel like I know at least one character and can relate in some way to them. The story to fell a bit short as if it was rushed in parts especially towards the end. Overall I found the story to be entertaining enough to keep listening to it but there would need to be a revision to the characters mostly for me to read it again.

Get ready for a ride ...
This story takes off and you're glued to it till the end. The narrator was so slow at first but then as the story goes on you realize that that's how the Spriggin would sound like!! The story keeps you in it's grip til the end and even then you're ready for more. This is a great book you have to listen to!!! Or read!!

An enjoyable story
This is a tale of Nature taking her revenge on mankind, and it a truly enjoyable one.
Most of the human characters are all so... not nice that you struggle to not wish for the Spriggan had its wicked way :P Vicky is an interesting, complex character, same as Brin. And I enjoyed a lot the Spriggan's journey from its awakening to its end: the way its conscience grows along with its knowledge on the era... really well done.
The narration was amazing and adds to the overall enjoyment of the book.
A fitting story for Halloween :)
