About this listen
The town of Oakwell is no more, an abandoned and overgrown relic left in the wake of the massacre at Hope House. When Emma Barrett discovers the secret to the Hope House curse and how to stop it, the evil responds by awakening the deranged and catatonic Henry Marshall, who escapes to the town he once called home. As Emma gathers around her those who can bring an end to the Gogoku curse, a brutal game of cat and mouse begins amid the decaying remnants of the town. Everything is at stake as the Whisper story reaches its epic conclusion. Blood will be spilled, sacrifices will be made, and redemption will be sought as the survivors of the Oakwell curse go head to head not only with Marshall, but with the malevolent forces which have scourged the lands for centuries....
©2015 Horrific Tales Publishing (P)2017 Beacon AudiobooksWould you consider the audio edition of Voices to be better than the print version?
Haven't read it, just did the audio which is pretty phenomenalWho was your favorite character and why?
It's hard to not root for Henry the dude who eats people and is a one man wrecking ball but the Petrov guy grew on me, he is coolWhat about Robert Thaler’s performance did you like?
This guy was just incredible. I haven't heard him before and I listen to lots of mystery and thriller stuff, hands down the best I have heard. What character can't this dude play?If you could rename Voices, what would you call it?
a fun ride thru HellAny additional comments?
Bray is a real writer. I feel like I discovered him. He knows how to lay down a story and his imagination is out there, I will definitely be looking for him again and buying his other audio collection if he has one especially with this narrator dude. Bray is funny at times when you don't expect it and the range of characters is big. The carnage does satisfy what can I say its more than I asked for. He lays down about a 30 minute murder and chase scene in this thing that I don't feel many writers could do but he knows how to work up to it and he knows how to create that scary tone before the SHTF He had me going, he writes with brass onesFantastic!
