They meet online and a friendship blooms, but then things in Angelina’s life take a turn for the worst and she finds herself turning to the only person she thinks loves her – Zack.

With everything against them, can Zack and Angelina cross the distance to change her life before it's too late? Or will Zack have to watch from afar as Angelina continues to suffer?

This book had so much potential. I liked the general idea of this story (kind of like a modern day Cinderella), but it was lacking so much.

The author definitely likes to tell and not show. One of the biggest things that an author needs to do when writing a story to SHOW the reader the story; make them experience and connect with the characters. But I was just told the story and couldn’t connect with it. I mean, I don’t even know what Zack looked like because the author rarely describes anything. It was like reading the skeleton of a story. Now we just need to add the body. What do the characters look like? What does the scene feel like? There was barely any description, that I could barely picture the story in my head.

And can I just mention how extra Angelina’s sisters were? Like, they’re two adults who just sit around and do nothing? I just picture two female ogres from Shrek as the sisters, because I have no clue what they look like, but they seem like complete monsters. I get that that’s how the author portrays them to be, but they still seem so extra that they made me constantly roll my eyes.

And are freaking kidding me Joey Paul?! They don’t even end up together? You created this huge relationship between the characters and nothing becomes of it? Like, I get it but still…the whole thing was cringe.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
