About this listen

A lively, clean time travel romance that will entertain you from start to finish.

When a stranger shows up on her doorstep and proposes, BYU student Aurelia freaks out. Shocked that she doesn't know him, Walter tries to explain that he has traveled back in time and apparently gone too far. Now he needs her to date his other self and fall in love like she did the first time.

No way will she believe his ridiculous story.

Yet it doesn't take long for her to realize there are two identical guys named Walter running around. She may even fall for one of him. But both? That remains to be seen.

Having lived the BYU student life, I found this excellent book relatable. I liked how subtle religious values were woven into the intriguing story in a minimum number of words. Natural, believable dialogue from a variety of characters is often difficult to get right, but the author did superb job. Also the dialogue moved the action along without becoming unwieldy. It was a refreshing read from start to finish.

Fascinating plot for a romance novel.

Beyond the fact that this is both a clean romance and engaging mystery plus a bit of science fiction all wrapped up into one in an incredibly well executed way, it is also an extremely engaging story with such well written characters that they feel real!

The humor and characterization is uplifting, the plot captivating, and the execution near perfect! I loved that so many of the characters were developed so meaningfully, roommates included!! The romance was so sweet and heartwarming, and never crossed the line into going too far, which I appreciated so much too! Similarly the mystery aspect was so well written, but didn't cross the line into being violent or grotesque nearly at all. The weaving of sci-fi and faith into the same story was an interesting choice and extremely well done. Wish I could meet Walter, Aurelia, and Jackie in-person!! Also the epilogue was so funny! Can't wait to read/listen to more of Champenois' work in the future!

Additionally, for the audiobook, the narration and performance was so well done, in many cases not only not distracting from the story, but adding to it!

Please write more of these and make amazing audiobook versions of them like this!!

An extremely well-written sweet romance that also brings in elements of mystery and sci-fi!

No worries I won’t be giving away the ending or anything like that. The characters really reminded me of the author and her family. I really enjoyed Jackie’s character. She was fun and the kind of best friend a friend could ask for. At times it was a little slow, but I enjoyed the overall performance and story. The author was originally from Denmark, and the voice of Walter reminded me of someone with a Danish accent.

Loved the Epilogue
