About this listen

In the deserts of New Mexico, someone has just discovered his inner child . . . and it's about to throw a deadly temper tantrum.

When Howard Moon Deer's girlfriend Aria storms from his cabin in the middle of the night, he just considers it another conflict in their tempestuous relationship. But when he finds her Jeep abandoned down the road with no sign of her nearby, his instincts lead him on an investigation that uncovers the dark underbelly of a trendy southwestern town.

With the help of blind ex-detective Jack Wilder, Howard follows a trail of clues leading to a men's encounter group known as the Warrior Circle. Its members are prosperous local businessmen and upstanding members of the community . . . or are they? As the pair edge closer to the truth about Aria's disappearance, one thing becomes crystal clear - someone is acting out a murderous fantasy of power and revenge - and Howard and Jack may be the next victims.

A fun book for a rainy weekend.
The story line is excellent. I did get tickled as the author has the blind man falling over
baskets of his garden veggies while his guide dog just watches.
😎can't say much. don't want to spoil the surprises.

It’s a fun story.. but if the H do not stop leading by his p….soon & grow up then I will not go for the entire series.

Good for casual Listening

I like to hear how Jack thinks things through and Howie falls into solutions. They are an unlikely pair

Intricate story with a lot of unexpected turns

This is a great series of books. Great characters, excellent narration, and the storyline keeps your attention. The only negative is that there are so few Audible books in this series

Good Book!

I like the closing very much. I will be reading more of the books by this author. I Find the folklore, spiritual, underpinnings, traditions, legends of our “ First Americans” resonant and Stabilizing in our tech driven world.

Character of the hero.

The narration is everything to reflect the story, mood and characters. The narrator can read, but was so far removed from the characters, emotion and the story it was very hard to follow. I cant even review the book because it was so un enjoyable to listen to. This narrator will be on my “Do Not Listen To” list.

Voice did not reflect the book at all.

I just do not understand WHY authors have to make sex the top priority in the dialog when they are writing books! I suppose that they think that adds interest, but it ruins it for me. I LOVE Native American stories, particularly mysteries. This author could take some lessons from Margaret Coel and her Arapaho Indian Mysteries.

Disappointed :(

Too much explict sex, stupid uncool comments, bad reader, proof readers could do much better job

Terribly uneducated writting
