After losing his wife, Evan Francart is depressed. He has an axe to grind with the pharmaceutical company that jacked up the price of her medications but feels powerless against a billion-dollar corporation.
Then he meets Cassandra. She shows Evan a way to both end his life and become a hero. With her guidance, Evan interrupts a company board meeting and blows the building sky-high.
As FBI agents Susan Chamberlain and Michael Godwin discover, Evan is the first of many. Ninety-nine more like him wait anonymously in the wings, their targets just as personal as Evan's: the prosecutor who lets rapists walk free, the inept surgeon who maims patients yet keeps operating, the phony evangelist preying on those seeking solace...and that's just the beginning.
Will the FBI unearth Cassandra's identity before all 100 have carried out their plans?

After I read a synopsis of the plot of We Are 100, I HAD to order it from Audible ASAP! I love the story AND Nathan's narration.
I can reassure anyone who cares that I am not a gung-ho fan boy who will forgive any weaknesses in the total production. As a retired Language Arts teacher and private tutor, I hear any plot holes, bad grammar, or mispronunciations loudly and clearly! I am happy to report no plot holes, only one unintended grammar error, and two mispronunciations by the author/narrator. Well done, Nathan, editors, and other support staff!
I can't wait until Nathan lands a gig within 50 miles of Green Bay, Wisconsin--I'll be there!
What a Concept!

A few weeks ago I was interacting with the author on his YouTube channel in the comments section. I told him he had a sexy voice or something similar to that and he should narrate audiobooks. He promptly informed me that he had and here was a link for it lol. I was pleasantly surprised to find out he was also the author.
I enjoy listening to audiobooks when the author narrates the story. That is because they know the inflection and intent behind the character's words and actions because they are the ones that brought the characters to life. This book / narration was no different. I enjoyed listening to him read his own story. The only negative comment I will put in this entire review is that he did not change the actual voices when he jumped between characters. There were a couple of occasions when I had to hit the back button to figure out who was supposed to be the one talking.
Regardless, the premise behind the book as well as the actions and reactions of the characters involved are all believable and spot-on. In today's world of short attention spans and internet drama driven by social media, everything in this book could be a true event. Even to the way it kind of just fizzled out in the end and people went on about their lives. That's what really happens to today's news stories. Does anybody remember what the result was of the Toyotas with the sticking gas pedals? No. Once the shock value part of the story was over, no one ever followed up on it.
Similar to being fans of "Dexter", it's kind of ambiguous as to who you should be rooting for in this story. Mostly because we all have in our heads a separate sense of 'justice' versus a sense of 'law & order'. Just because something is legal or illegal doesn't necessarily mean that it is good or bad. That's a decision every individual must make for themselves. Do you root for justice or do you root for law? Then at the end of the day it doesn't matter because tomorrow nobody will remember it anyway. Like the "Occupy" movement, which eventually tapered down to hippies camping out in parks, or the black lives matter movement which ended up being just as much financial fiasco shenanigans as it ever was a legitimate progressive movement, the 100 could have possibly gone somewhere had the country not been so divided about every single thing.
Sorry, that might have been a spoiler.
Regardless, it was worth the listen, and I highly recommend it.
Also, for shits and giggles, you should look up the author on youtube. I'm pretty sure he's a stand-up comedian also. Multi-talented and all.
was worth spending my credit on
