I wish I had read this book sooner!

Women in male-dominated careers should definitely read this book. Great insight into Imposter syndrome and the various ways it manifests itself. Knowing we are not alone helps alleviate the stresses we put on ourselves as women. Understanding the source of our own Imposter Syndrome is helpful to move forward. I enjoyed the healing exercises. I wish I had this book earlier in my career! “We Are Not Imposters” is a must-read for younger women navigating their careers while managing their own Imposter Syndrome.

Feel like an imposter read this book!

This whole idea of imposter syndrome is new to me, but I completely understand it. I just never knew it was a real thing. I loved hearing about the different types of imposters and then how to manage them. I fall under multiple categories of imposters so I had to listen carefully. The takeaway I got was to have a positive mindset and look for help when needed. You are not weak, undeserving , incapable, out of your league, or untalented. You are you and belong in a supportive and loving community. Pick your relationships, jobs and surroundings accordingly. Read this book for more tips.

I finally feel seen

As a woman who has been in the corporate world for quite some time and slowly climbed the ladder within various leadership positions, this book hit home and I feel seen. As a woman in leadership, things can be quite difficult. You are not always made to feel like you belong when you are with men at the meeting table. I know for me, my strategy was to get other leaders on my side before I continued to promote so that hopefully they already would know who I was and what skills I would bring. That was not always the case. It seemed to be that it was fine for me to be in a position lower than them but once I moved to be their peers, things changed drastically. I felt so lost and constantly doubted if I should be in the position I was in or not. My company is going through a merger and there will be even more positions opening with people I have never worked with so learning how I can step into a new role and feel confident was important to me. Being that I am a mom, a wife, and a corporate leader was a lot of pressure and I wanted to feel confident that if I am giving up my time and energy to my company, I am going to be comfortable in my position and stop with the constant subconscious nagging.

This author gives you great steps to actually take action on and doesn't just talk hypothetically. I found a lot of useful information that I have already immediately begun to implement and my boss acknowledged in my 1:1 that he had seen a change in me, a positive one. He said I seemed more comfortable and was not shying away as much in conversations. That made me feel great to know that with the changes I was making others could see the difference. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for that same confidence.

Very Clear Outlook

We Are Not Imposters really covers what Imposter Syndrome is and gives a very clear outlook on key points that identify as Imposter Syndrome. This is something I can relate to on a few different levels such as the over worker. Really helps understand what so some of the effects are and does a really good job on a few tips and tricks to change your outlook and behavior towards society and yourself.
This audio book also covers how woman can overcome this along with dealing with workplace discrepancies as well. Overall very informative and would recommend this to anyone.
