About this listen

Lost on the backroads of northeast Mississippi in the middle of the night, Barrett and Melanie Tucker stumble upon Oblivion—a large, vintage dwelling believed to be a haunted bed and breakfast. Unfortunately, their expedition through this ancient mansion uncovers the otherworldly horrors of Oblivion. The primeval of Oblivion. The unspeakable terrors within Oblivion. And the realization that they may never escape.

Welcome To Oblivion by ERIC WOODS is a fun ride through a scientist’s lair, masquerading as a welcome stop off the beaten path. What starts off as an interesting stay at a “haunted mansion” for lost travelers Barrett and Melanie, ends up being a truly nightmarish house of horrors.

Welcome To Oblivion is an inimitable tale, (reminiscent of the Rocky Horror Show), that introduces you to the inner workings of a psychic scientist with a warped sense of reality and the minions who will stop at nothing to do his bidding. The mansion, aptly named Oblivion, is a menacing character all its own with the madness and evil purpose of its owner, Amalga, staining its walls.

Eric Woods is a great story teller, able to bring in crucial elements from the past to better explain the harrowing present with such ease, the story flowed flawlessly.

I had the pleasure of listening to the audio version narrated by Eric himself. What an absolute blast. Though I felt the consistency of some accents needed work, Eric did fantastically at bringing all the relatable, funny, and terrifying characters to life.

All in all Welcome to Oblivion is a very fun and unique story that is well written and narrated with such enthusiasm you’ll get sucked right in.

I highly recommend Welcome to Oblivion if you are a fan of sci-fi horror with great comedic elements.
