Chad McCollough doesn’t allow women to ride his Thoroughbred racehorses, yet his new horse refuses to warm up to any man. He breaks his own rules and tries to hire a female exercise rider. but she tells him her dance card is full.

Overcoming the Odds to Find True Love

I love the multitude of horses in this story of racing and breeding. The feel of Keeneland is so accurate I felt I was there. Danger and betrayal follow Lizzie from Kentucky to Texas and back as she pursues her goal of improving the viability of Thoroughbred racehorses. She is the rare combination of idealist and realist-highly convicted and stubborn enough to stick to her course. Chad doesn’t see her or understand her although as kids they were inseparable. Fabulous stakes and obstacles make this story unique and satisfying.
