I love Lili Valente's writing. She has become one of my favorite authors. Not only do her books keep you thoroughly entertained and engaged, but they leave you feeling upbeat. She doesn't rely on swearing to demonstrate the emotions of her characters as so many of the authors are doing now, where everytime a character has any emotion good or bad it's the f*bomb, goddamn, or both. On the rare occasion she does, it is a flawless fit with the moment and the storyline. I really like when she is one of the narrators.

The pet pig was my favorite part. The romance, on the other hand, was merely alright. She’s an influencer, who left her home town without a backward glance, or explanation in Theo’s case.
I get that she was young when she first left, but even at present day she’s all about running away because she can’t deal with haters. He does all the bending and supporting, making it a one-sided couple that I only half-rooted for. Maybe my failure to connect is what made the single sex scene a dud.

As much as I like this author, it seems this series is big on one-night stands, pet-comedy, and cute kids. College aged me might have loved these, but present-day me finds these on the immature end.
