2d time around…

Again, Virtual Voice pulled the story along nicely giving added weight and arousal to the wife’s POV. I just loved the wife.

The cover

Not as exotic as some regular romance novels. Was ok but short and boring. 2 stars

First and second person

Character sometimes was she and me in the same sentence, as if it was poorly translated.

Ok

There were lots of distracting errors and guilt, but I just skipped ahead to the sex scene, which was pretty good.

Nothing

This was a bland uninteresting romance novel. It was the first of the genre I had listened to, quite the terrible introduction.

Short and Dull

It really could have been a great story but it was too rushed. First off, no character background or even a build up to what lead to the interaction. Also it really felt as it was just a idea for a book. And what was with the ending? Guess the author just gave up and wanted to get it over with.

"Siri misreads wannbe sexy novella"

Was it the writing? The editing? The narration? All the above???

Performance: Clearly virtual voice (that's not a good thing). Some of the sentences were both 1st and 3rd person. Several times words were duplicated (eg., with with). In one instance, the sentance should have been (paraphrasing) "He wanted her here", but it read "He wanted here her". Distracting much? And yes, it was clear after the first five times of it being said.... it was her husband's boss. Are virtual voice recordings impossible to edit, or did no one care to see that it was done?

Story: Could have had potential, but felt rushed, and seriously fell flat.

Short but good

It’s a lot shorter than I would like, but was very good for what it is. You won’t be disappointed.

Oh boy

There was a moment I almost thought the story could go somewhere. Then it ended. But that’s not what bothered me the most. I was even able to overcome the narration. It was bearable. But the writing itself… The narration happens in 3rd person and yet, at times, it would randomly switch to first person, in the middle of a sentence. I caught this 2 or 3 times. And maybe it’s just how much brain works, but it’s a huge pet peeve of mine to see mistakes like these in a book. Besides that… I guess, if you like the genre, it can play like white noise in the background while you do house chores, or something. I’m sorry, that’s all I can give this book.
