About this listen
Let me introduce the cast of characters who make my naked life as hilariously unpredictable as it is.
First, there’s Tanya, my best friend and perpetual rival. Tanya is the kind of person who can turn anything into a competition. Who has the better tan? Who looks cooler holding a beach volleyball? Who has the superior butt? (Spoiler: she thinks it’s her. I have my doubts.) We fight like cats in a bathtub but always find our way back to each other—usually over wine and an argument about who’s paying for pizza.
Then there’s Susan, our chaos coordinator. Susan isn’t just the person who stirs the pot—she’s the one who brings the pot, fills it with dynamite, and then lights the fuse. Her favorite pastime is daring the rest of us to do things she would never attempt herself, like cartwheels on the beach or “naked limbo night.” She’s also the queen of accidental disasters, like the time she got locked out of a campground shower with nothing but a shampoo cap.
Georgina is the calming influence in our group—at least when her husband, Jackson, isn’t dragging us into one of his wild nudist escapades. Georgina married into nudism, and while she claims she’s “still learning the ropes,” she’s somehow the one who keeps the rest of us from completely losing it.
And then there’s Janessa, the newbie. She’s the youngest in our group and relatively new to nudism. Watching her navigate the awkwardness of her first beach day was like watching a baby deer learn to walk—equal parts endearing and hilarious. She’s a fast learner, though, and her marketing background means she’s always coming up with clever ways to make nudism “on brand.”
As for me? I’m Kristin. Thirty-something, self-deprecating, and just trying to keep this group of lunatics together without tripping over my towel.
This book is about our adventures—sometimes ridiculous, sometimes heartwarming, but always unforgettable. From naked wrestling matches with Tanya to Susan’s ill-advised attempts at “nudist karaoke,” our escapades have taught me one important lesson: nudism isn’t about perfection or confidence. It’s about showing up, stripping down, and embracing the hilarity of life—literally.
So, if you’re ready for funny stories, awkward mishaps, and a few nuggets of wisdom sprinkled in, you’re in the right place. Welcome to the world of nudism as experienced by me and my misfit friends. When the clothes come off, the fun really begins.
