About this listen
In a quiet, judgmental town, a mother's unwavering love fuels her relentless search for her missing son.
When 8-year-old Ben disappears, his mother Pearl undertakes a relentless quest in their small judgmental town, even as she faces suspicion from her husband, Eddie. Armed with clues hinting at church member Meredith's involvement, Pearl risks all, breaking laws and facing adversaries. Despite temporary imprisonment, she rescues Ben from Meredith's remote cabin. Pearl's journey, riddled with societal judgment and marital discord, ultimately leads her to a fresh start with Ben, a testament to a mother's unwavering love, the danger of insular societies, and the power of self-belief. This impactful narrative will linger in listeners' minds long after the final tick.

Without anyone to help her, Bridget must find a way to reconnect with her younger sister before time runs out.

Not my style of writing
In the first story, there was too much repetition. I would have liked increased character development. I think the author should have written about the young boys experience of the kidnapping. I wished this would have been in the plus catalog. I also did not like that it was bundled with a book I had listened to already.

Not for me
An interesting premise, but unfortunately the audio quality is so terrible, I couldn’t stand it. I can sometimes endure poor quality, but for 38+ hours?
I’m not sure why the author or publisher would’ve approved this, it seems they were taken for a ride, sadly.
