About this listen

In Chinese martial arts, esotery, religion, pseudo-science and elements of cult like behavior are norm, especially when it comes to anything that has word “gong” in it. Qigong, Weigong, Neigong, are the most exploited terms by martial teachers through which they explain their martial theories. Since early 2000’s the prevalent fashion in Chinese Martial Arts is that theory and practice is moving in the direction of pseudo-science and esotery. Martial theories over time change, and last two decades have seen extremely rapid change, becoming extremely complex with a clear intention to make those, basically Daoist teachings, “scientific”. Chinese martial arts in general shifted toward “internal” practice, where “internal” practice can mean anything that particular school or teacher consider it to be. Internal practice means everything from breathing exercises, “healing” to magic and pseudo-religious practice. Along with this fashion, with rare exceptions, Kung Fu practice is going further away from actual fighting training and turning into non martial activity, advertised as everything else but martial art. Purpose of this book is to explain and present the very foundation of martial practice known as Weigong without any mystification, unnecessary complexity, pseudo-science or religion. This book is not a training manual, skills presented in the book should be practiced uner the guidence of quialified instructor
