About this listen

The story of White Daughter of Thunderbird is a romantic western adventure novel. In the late 1830’s, the Colorado Territory is a vast, rugged and untamed frontier. A fierce Cheyenne warrior captures 18-year-old Greer Galloway, and steals her away from the remote trading post, Fort St. Vrain. Along with two other young captives, Greer prays for rescue and hopes for escape. On the journey to her captor’s village, she confronts threat after threat to stay alive. In the village, though she has opportunity to escape, she vows not to leave the other captives behind. She struggles to communicate and to adjust to her loss of freedom. Her captor is an expert archer and a proud, revered warrior in the tribe. She calls him Bow. Her many mistakes in Cheyenne society trigger both outrage, and respect. A dark secret endangers the young women of the village, and Greer strives to uncover the identity of a monstrous deceiver. As Greer and Bow’s fates intertwine, neither could anticipate the paths they must choose. *Author’s note: This story contains no graphic love scenes or improper language, and though there is violence and there are concepts of a mature nature, the story should be suitable for young adults.* Action & Adventure Historical Fiction Village
