About this listen
Our lord repeatedly instructed us: "Be not deceived". That is an imperative: A command, not simply a suggestion. But how? What are the tools to prevent our being deceived or misled?
The context of a passage is always a primary consideration in the search for understanding of a passage of scripture. It is often cited, "A verse out of context is a pretext". And, indeed, one must always maintain an awareness of both who is doing the speaking and the audience being addressed. However, this foundational emphasis can also be a restrictive blindfold to some of a passage's deeper (and broader) implications.

Story
Is there one God or three? How does one reconcile the "One God" of the Sh'ma with the "Three Persons" of the trinity? The doctrine of the trinity has been at the heart of much theological controversy. The routine objection is that the doctrine sacrifices monotheism to "tritheism." But this objection thrives on a misconception of divine personality in the image of disparate, individual, human selves.

Story
In this age of deceit and treachery it is vital to be protected from the consequences of the spiritual war raging around us. The Bible tells us to put on the "whole armor" of God. What is it? And when do you put it on? We are all already in enemy territory. The time to put on the whole armor is before the battle, not after it has already begun. Some of our adversaries wear three-piece suits, carry briefcases with cellular phones, speak excellent English, and network effectively. Are you equipped and prepared or are you a sitting duck?

Story
When did Satan fall? We know that the angels were created prior to the Earth. We find Satan had already fallen in Genesis 3. The mystery is, when did he fall? It appears that there are substantial Scriptural references to his rebellion, his agenda, and the subsequent catastrophic judgment that ensued. This raises the whole issue of the origin of evil. And why hasn't God simply wiped him "and sin" out completely?

What does his holiness demand of us, personally? What are the hazards of failing to render the Almighty his due, while availing ourselves the riches committed to us of the precious promises in his word? How do we deal with these paramount issues facing us daily in practical challenges? Chuck Missler grapples with these wildly misunderstood tensions with down-to-earth frankness and biblically-based candor.

What happens when you die? We don't like to think about death. It's not a pleasant subject, and we avoid even discussing it seriously or giving it any diligent study. Yet our appointment with death is the most certain event in our future. We all know of personal examples when death has come suddenly to people, without warning, without preparations; car accidents, stray bullets, unforeseen strokes. When it comes our time, what do we expect death to be like? How will we enter eternity?

Chuck Missler reviews the "state of the union" and the results of the liberal agenda. We take our lead from Jeremiah and Hosea: We can see the storm coming - we may not be able to divert or stop it, but we can warn others. Our prayer throughout this crisis is that the lessons won't be wasted. It's time to get serious! Only a miracle can save America, but fortunately, God is in the miracle business!

Romans is the definitive statement of Christian doctrine - the most comprehensive book in the New Testament. Its impact on history is unequaled. This is the first in a trilogy (Galatians, Hebrews) on Habakkuk 2:4 - "the just shall live by faith" - which later became the mantra of the reformation. It has an international outlook: As a Roman citizen, and with both Hebrew and Greek culture of history, religion, philosophy, poetry, science, music, etc., Paul's Epistle to the Romans is the most profound writing that exists anywhere.

Story
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16. Because of its emphasis on "the Love of God" and Jesus' being the incarnation of that Love, many believe this gospel is the most important for new and old Christians alike to take to heart. Written by the "disciple whom Jesus loved", the book of John is organized around seven miracles, seven discourses and seven "I AM" statements. This study is so deep "an elephant can bathe in it, and yet an infant can wade in it."

We consider some of the most life-changing principles we have encountered since our new birth as Christians. Scripture tells us that we are to "prepare ourselves" for Christ’s soon return. What exactly does this mean? What if we aren’t prepared? What is justification, sanctification, and glorification? Being ready, fit, and prepared will dramatically affect our role, our position, and our place of responsibility in the future millennial kingdom. Chuck and Nancy share not only the Scriptural importance of why we need to be "prepared" but also what we need to do to be prepared.

Story
The city of Corinth was Hollywood, Las Vegas, and New York all rolled into one. Corinth was intellectually alert, materially prosperous, but morally corrupt. Its citizens were devoted to the reckless development of the individual. The church at Corinth is the "carnal church" - spiritual babes, immature and undeveloped. Paul seeks to provide them with the necessary guidance to bring them to full maturity. This study contains more than 22 hours of verse-by-verse teachings.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
Just before Christmas in 1843, a debt-ridden and dispirited Charles Dickens wrote a small book he hoped would keep his creditors at bay. His publisher turned it down, so Dickens used what little money he had to put out A Christmas Carol himself. He worried it might be the end of his career as a novelist. The book immediately caused a sensation. And it breathed new life into a holiday that had fallen into disfavor, undermined by lingering Puritanism and the cold modernity of the Industrial Revolution.

Story
The 10 enlightening (and often humorous) lectures of Medieval Myths and Mysteries will show you how far from the “dark” times of legend these centuries were. Uncover the facts about the Knights Templar. Reveal the truth behind the tales of legendary creatures like the Questing Beast and the unicorn. Trace the events of the Black Death and the ways it altered the world in its wake, and much more. With Professor Armstrong, you will dig deep into the ways that later generations reshaped the narrative of the medieval years and perpetuated the myths.

They have become a popular idiom even in secular literature, in connotative terms, of the "End Times". However, Biblically, they speak specifically of real events that will characterize an actual period of time that will appear in the future. Will that occur in our lifetime? How do we know? Do we need to prepare in some way? Or are there specific steps we should be taking? Join Dr. Chuck Missler as he explores the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Story
Isaiah 53 is one of the most astonishing passages in the entire Bible: It is often called, “The Holy of Holies” of the Old Testament. However, it is even more broadly impacting than most people realize; that’s why we call it, “The Fulcrum of the Entire Universe”. Its reach includes the entire creation. Clearly, its most devotional significance details our personal salvation: Indeed, the entire New Testament is summarized in its remarkable 12 verses. Yet it also includes some of the most astonishing apologetic insights in the entire Bible. Rich rewards for the diligent.

Will the biotech revolution cast a dark shadow over the first half of the 21st century as nuclear technology did over the last century? The astonishing advances in the field of microbiology now offer new remedies for many of mankind's most illusive and devastating diseases and even many genetic defects. However, these promises are not without a potential dark side.

Story
This is an intensive review of what the Apostle Paul calls the most important chapter in the Bible: 1 Corinthians 15. Without it, “we are of all men most miserable”. Did Jesus really rise from the dead? How do we know? Do we really believe it? What kind of body did He have? Why did they have trouble recognizing him? How do we now know that we live within a digital virtual environment which is but “a shadow of a larger reality”?
