Publisher's summary

From the seductive rhythms of Bourbon Street to the sultry climes of the bayou, a woman's search for the truth leads her into danger and passion beyond her wildest dreams...

Advertising executive Stephanie Grant knows how to sell an idea, but she's never had to sell herself before. Walking into The Big Easy's most exclusive bordello, however, she's ready to do just that. What Stephanie doesn't expect is to encounter a man who sees right through her disguise, laying bare not only what she wants, but what she needs.

The lithe blonde who glides up to Jake Broussard's bar could have any man she chooses, but that isn't her endgame. The ex-cop quickly catches on to Stephanie's real plan, and it won't be long before Chez Sophia's rich and powerful clientele do the same. Stephanie's playing with fire. Good thing this hometown boy likes it hot.

It was OK

This was just OK for me. It got great reviews but I prefer more intense stories. It's just to tame for me. I also prefer those "HOT" love scenes and I didn't get those either. It does have a good basic story but there is no excitement in it. This would make a good sale book but in using a credit I want hot passion, angst, suspense....... you get the idea.

Pretty good storyline

I enjoyed the storyline but Amy’s performance reading was somewhat monotone always a breathy sensual feel rather than performing moments of excitement or jovial times joking, with a different feeling or inflection! Just disappointed in the performance more than anything

Steamy Romance In New Orleans

A woman disguises herself as a high-priced call girl to help find her missing sister in Toni Blake's latest steamy novel, WILDEST DREAMS. It's a sizzling hot romance that takes place in the heart of New Orleans. Jake Broussard is a local New Orleans ex-cop who is now working as a bartender at an exclusive club called the Chez Sophia. Stephanie Grant is a sexually naive woman from Chicago who thinks she can disguise herself as a call girl in order to find her missing younger sister Tina.

When the two meet the sparks fly. Jake teaches Stephanie a lot of things behind closed doors, but Stephanie's main objective is to find her sister, who she thinks is now a prostitute. Jake doesn't want a committed relationship, but unfortunately Stephanie starts to subconsciously think that he really loves her. The sex is hot, and Stephanie tries to remind herself that after they find Tina, it's "goodbye, Jake".

On the other hand, Jake's past with Becky was a welcome part of the story, as it explained why he had a hard time getting seriously involved with any woman, including Stephanie. The author teases the reader, throwing out hints who Becky was, until their history is finally explained.

WILDEST DREAMS had plenty of sexy erotic scenes for those who love their romances hot and wild. However, for those who like their romances a little bit more tame, this may not be for you. The mystery behind the missing Tina adds a dimension to the novel that the reader will enjoy.
A terrific romance with a dash of mystery. Yes, it sizzles with hot love scenes, but it's more than just that. You actually care about the characters. Stephanie is strong yet vulnerable. And Jake. Sigh. I just loved reading about him, yet ached for his heartbreak. Together they're one couple you can see being together.
Amy Rubinate was fantastic with the delivery of the story

I got goosebumps with the Hot and emotional book!

Any additional comments?

Wowza! Wildest Dreams by Toni Blake is a red-hot read with a couple that has sizzling chemistry and who will steam up the pages. I got goosebumps listening to this story and that does not happen very often......

Stephanie has come to New Orleans to hunt for her sister Tina, after discovering that Tina has started working as a prostitute and hasn't contacted her for some time she becomes worried and so goes undercover herself as a prostitute at Chez Sophia's where she meets the barman, ex-cop Jake who can tell straight away that she's putting on an act and calls her on it.

Worrying that she may unintentionally get herself hurt Jake agrees to help search for Tina and use some of his old police contacts, after a past tragedy Jake has cut himself off mostly from everyone, but Stephanie seems to be wriggling herself into his life more and more, and as much as he tries to fight it, the chemistry is too strong and they soon find themselves giving in to temptation.

But when Jake starts feeling guilty about being this happy will he put an end to this love affair.

Pretty Woman goes to the Big Easy

First, I could listen to Amy Rubinate read the dictionary and enjoy it. What a great voice.

Second, the book was pretty good - my first by Toni Blake. I liked Jake, the tough ex-cop who takes in a runaway teen and a stray dog. Stephanie, a marketing executive looking for her sister hooker Tina, was sympathetic but kept making stupid decisions.

What part of "New Orleans can be a dangerous place" especially for a woman alone at night was so hard for an intelligent person to understand? I liked that Stephanie wasn't going to stop until she found Tina, but I wanted her to use some common sense.

The romance between Jake and Stephanie was a bit juvenile in the beginning but at least there was no violence (BDSM), with Jake understanding that "no" means "no". The relationship developed with time, humor, respect, and lots of chemistry.

The best part for me was the wise-cracking runaway girl and the scruffy mutt. I wanted to take them both home with me.
