Good

I enjoyed listing but the voices were a bit much. Still good storytelling. I would have preferred a bit more emphasis on the later part of his life.

Entertaining

I enjoyed listening to this as a sort of historical fiction version of his story. This isn’t appropriate for someone looking for details of him as a politician but it was a nice intro and overview especially the early life narrative. I think my late elementary aged children would have liked it.

superficial

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

very superficial "story" of William Henry Harrison's life with large gaps between what he was doing through out his life. definitely not for a serious scholar of history

What could Howard Peckham have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

He could have used real, legitimate historical information/quotes/etc instead of what appear to be made up dialog which might have taken place.

Would you be willing to try another one of Patrick Lawlor’s performances?

no, I'm not a fan of his voice.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

no

Any additional comments?

if you are looking for a serious biography of this man, this is not it. I'm trying to listen to the biographies of all the US presidents; most are excellent, this was not - hopefully someone else wrote a better account of his life and accomplishments.
