Ever decided to do something that seemed like a good idea and, in the second before there's no turning back, think, "I musta been totally mental when I came up with this"? And then, "Oh, well, here goes".
That's how angel-in-training Grace Lightbourne felt right before she asked the Big Kahuna if she could go straight to Earth on a mission as a guardian angel. The problem? She never was a great student, and now she won't even finish her last three years of school. To make matters worse, Archangel Michael isn't happy about her special assignment, but Grace is convinced she's on a fast track to get her wings. How hard can it be? She's working with humans, after all.

Shel Delisle could have made this a "preachy" books with lots of moral speeches, but she avoided that trap. It is a sweet book, in the best sense of the word. I think it would be delightful for teens. All the characters feel real and change and learn over the course of the story.
The story was fun, but dealt with some serious issues. It wasn't too fluffy.
The writing flows, the kind of writing that catches you up and makes you forget who and where you are.
I thought Stephanie Fritz was the perfect narrator. She sounds like a teen, but is very articulate. YA books are difficult to narrate. I've listened to books by my favorite authors where the narrator just grates on my nerves. Ms. Fritz is easy to listen to and sounds like a 14 year old with Grace's optimism and cheerful nature.
Love it!

This book was about Grace, a supposed to be 14 year old girl from Montana, living in Florida now as an exchange student. She is actually from heaven trying to get her wings by helping her "assignment" but she keeps having trouble because she won't read her homework. This book is cute and funny and was a fun listen. Definitely family friendly.
The narrator did a great job with the book.
Happy Reading/Listening!!!

What did you like best about this story?
I really liked her attitude about winging it but was glad when she finally settled down and studied. At the beginning of the story it was all about her till she finally understood her "assignment" was why she was here it wasn't about her getting her wings. I also loved her connection with Finn. What about Stephanie Fritz’s performance did you like?
Ms. Fritz has a really remarkable voice for narrating stories and I would definitely listen to more of her narrations. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Finn realized she was an angel.Any additional comments?

Stephanie Fritz did a great job narrating. There were a lot of female characters in this one and all of them sounded very distinct and not at all whiny or emotionless.
**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**
This is a very quick and light read.
