What made the experience of listening to Winterwind the most enjoyable?
I love to listen to books in the language in which they were written, but for me, that's only possible in English and German. Petra Durst-Benning is developing a little bit of a reputation as a novelist here in the United States (something she has wanted since she was a child apparently), but I have "read" her primarily in German. These are stories that are related to other novels of hers such as DIE GLASBLÄSERIN and DIE SAMENHÄNDLERIN, THE GLASSBLOWER and THE SEED HANDLER (I don't believe the second has been translated yet, but it's wonderful). Sometimes it's the same characters, and sometimes it's just related stories set in a different time. What did you like best about this story?
I loved getting to revisit those previous novels in a new and different way.Which scene was your favorite?
I loved the story of the woman and her seed business best.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No.Any additional comments?
If you can, try it.Want more of previous novels? This is the answer.
