Basic Story

The stories are okay. I didn't know what to expect when I picked up the book. The title tells me it will be inspiring. The cover makes it appear that it's a fantasy horror. The book itself is more sci-fi. It was read probably by the author. I'm sorry, but there could have been more effort put into this.

Very Cool!

These are very cool stories and the narrator has a great voice. Easy listening tales rather than tunes!

Promising stories

The author does a good job mixing up stories of sci-fi space adventure, magic forests, mystical marketplaces, time travel, and parallel realms. All interesting stories for sure and the author will most certainly flesh out some of them into standalone novels in the future.

The narrator has a good voice, but the editing needs work. There are no pauses or gaps between chapters so if you aren't listening carefully, you'll find yourself in the next story before realizing the previous story has ended.

Good stories with good narration!

A nice mix of fantasy/sci-fi stories! I enjoy the short story format, it's easy to complete a story and not have to stop midway. Good stuff!

More tell than show

The narrative feels constrained and sounds more like a summary. Almost everything is told in a matter-of-fact way many times while being vague on the details. The Narrator’s performance didn’t help either as through much of it he sounded bored.

Each story is only about a 20-minute listen which is enough time for a listener to get invested but not necessarily enough to properly convey all the concepts being stated here especially if precious time is squandered on repetition. The pacing is also hurt by unnecessary chapter breaks.

It’s a shame because the concepts are grand. We’re talking parallel worlds and a study of personal flaws amplified. I would suggest using these stories as outlines for larger works. Either that or trim the concepts so more love can be dedicated to description. Sometimes it's better for readers or listeners to ponder what the implications are.
