Author's Note: I hope you all enjoy this companion novella from Max's POV. There were certain parts of Working with the Enemy that I felt would benefit more from Max's character having a bit of mystery, so I didn't want to include his POV in the book itself. But after I was done writing it... I just couldn't help myself. I love writing the male POV, and I wanted to write his side of the story.
