About this listen

Marnie is stuck.

Stuck working alone in her London flat, stuck battling the long afternoons and a life that increasingly feels like it's passing her by.

Michael is coming undone.

Reeling from his wife's departure, increasingly reclusive, taking himself on long, solitary walks across the moors and fells.

When a persistent mutual friend and some very English weather conspire to bring them together, Marnie and Michael suddenly find themselves alone on the most epic of walks and on the precipice of a new friendship.

But can it survive the journey?

A new love story by beloved bestseller David Nicholls, You Are Here is a novel of first encounters, second chances, and finding the way home.

A wonderful real story.

Beautiful observations of a modern relationship. Funny and achingly sad. Love the walk driving the story.

Brilliant understanding of Aloneness

Aside from the superb narration
and the subtle but very clever humour this is a tale of aloneness looking for love. Outstanding in every way

Fantastic performance by Lydia Leonard. The book was always more engaging and fun when she was reading.

I really enjoyed it. Simple enough story. It’s the performances, mainly by Leonard, that elevate this and make it really really engaging and fun.

The landscape

I was thoroughly engaged and began to cast it in my head for a movie or TV version.
