About this listen

In my world, secrecy is a way of life. My coworkers at the CIA think my name is Alexis, my best friend thinks I work for a hotel, and my neighbors know nothing because I'm barely around enough to say hello.

Only three people in the world know who I really am. And it needs to stay that way.

I thought I’d been doing a good job of keeping my lives separate, making sure no one could connect the dots between who I am now and what I did five years ago. But when my team is tasked with tracking down a deadly neurotoxin, our new analyst Scott could blow my entire secret identity out of the water.

He's smart, talented, ridiculously handsome, and… my best friend's brother.

It shouldn’t be too hard to convince him to stay quiet. If the wrong people figure out who I am, his sister could be right in the line of fire.

I can’t blame him for being angry that I’ve lied to them for so long. But with millions of lives on the line… couldn't he hate me later?

Better than I thought it would be

Virtual Voice has improved 1000%! I DESPISED AI in the beginning! It had no emotion. no pauses. Ugh! And it still needs improvement but I'm glad I took a chance on this one. It's a good series. I'm halfway through the 2nd one now.

A.I. narration

this was my first A.I. narration and I'd give it a C. it got the job done but it missed the nuances of a voice actor. It stayed chipper the whole book while there were parts that were clearly meant to be sarcastic or drawn out.

Story itself was good. Felt more like a episode or a comic than a full novel. That good be a genre preference that I'm not used to.
