Story
The story of Ruth and Boaz is one of the Bible's most beloved love stories. But far more than a tale of human romance and relational interaction, the book of Ruth elevates the theme of love to the realm of providence and redemption. In this study through Ruth, Skip Heitzig shows how God works in the lives of ordinary people to accomplish his purposes and how, in marrying Ruth, Boaz exemplifies a kinsman-redeemer.

Story
After Jesus ascended into heaven, his followers were tasked with spreading the good news of salvation "in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth" (Acts 1:8). The book of Acts details the early church's rapid growth as they received the Holy Spirit and carried out the Great Commission to a world that was hungry for it. In this verse-by-verse study, Skip Heitzig teaches how we can be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ in the world today, and we learn how God continues his work through the spirit-empowered church.

The people of God have always held dual citizenship in heaven and on earth. We live in the world and operate in its systems, but we are part of a spiritual kingdom. We're called to love the city we're in and reach its people as long as we're here. Ultimately, Jesus will establish His kingdom on earth, but until then we are called to be His ambassadors here and now. In this teaching series, Skip Heitzig explores what it means to "occupy till [He comes]" (Luke 19:13, KJV) as we discover our role in the kingdom city.

The early church in Galatia faced a theological crisis. A group of legalistic Jews said Gentile converts had to keep Mosaic law to be saved. Paul's answering letter provided a clear statement of the doctrine of justification by grace through faith alone and has played a strategic role in the history of the church. In this verse-by-verse study of Galatians, Skip Heitzig explores the freedom we have in Christ.

Story
Revelation is a lens that puts the entire Bible into focus. The lens is focused on the person of Jesus Christ, and his destiny is imminent. This is a book of victory: We are overcomers! We are the ultimate winners in the game of life! (I read the ending: We win!) One of the reasons this book strikes us as strange is because of our lack of understanding concerning the Old Testament. The Book of Revelation consists of 404 verses that contain over 800 allusions to the Old Testament. These are detailed, along with Chuck's analysis of the design and structure of this fascinating book.

I really like this author/pastor. I appreciate how he takes the time to explain some alternate views like the differences between premillenialism, postmillenialism and amillenialism. He also presented some very interesting information about the current Babylon. I always learn something from him, and he is very theologically sound. I appreciate his love for the Lord.

Awesome except for one thing...
This is the first time I listened to a book by Skip Heitzig and I can tell you that he really made the events in Revelation come to life. I found myself smiling, tearing, and praising and worshipping our Savior in every chapter. Thank you Skip! The only reason I gave the book a four star, and not a five star rating is that I disagree with his analysis of Revelation chapters 17 and 18. I suggest that if you really want to thoroughly understand the book of Revelation I recommend that you listen to this book, plus, the book: America In Bible Prophecy by JJ Jones. You'll then have a complete understanding of what the future holds for the world, America, and yourself!

Great Breakdown
Great breakdown of the book of Revelation. I don't necessarily agree with every aspect presented, but that is okay. The main premise and take away is more important than theological or philosophical differences. This is a clear chapter by chapter analysis, spoken in terms for most anyone to understand and provides great biblical references for one to continue their study of end times and God's grace.
