About this listen

We are all on the receiving line, wishing to get the most out of life. We wouldn't be normal if we didn't wish to enjoy living, for life is made to live. How could there be a song unless someone sings it?

But sometimes we fail to realize that there is an exact law of life which tells us that in the long run we shall only receive what we give. Suppose a person had a lot of love in his heart but refused to express it to those around him. He would soon become so bottled up with emotion that he actually would have a psychic or mental and emotional congestion.

The Great Ernest Holmes

I love Ernest Holmes and what he has written here is to be cherished with my other text and recordings from him. However, the voice and reading of this book by the narrator did not please me. The reading was done very monotonous. Especially when he states "meditation" as he is about to go into the meditation that Ernest Holmes gives at the end of every one of his radio broadcasts. He just read plainly without any change in tone nor did he cut the last sentence off. He just blended it into the meditation. Not a good way to read a book out loud. Glad I own the written book also.
