About this listen

Ziggy is a puppy dog, full of fun – and full of mischief. He has a fine coat of grey and white fur, which could be quite smart, but as he spends most of his time digging up flower beds and splashing around in muddy puddles, he is pretty scruffy. He lives with Emma aged 5 and Jack aged 7 and their parents. To them he is a dog – a pet dog, and adorable at that. To him, they are humans – mostly kind and loving but at times not so nice. In fact, they can be quite cross with him, which is difficult for Ziggy to understand, because whatever he does, he does because he finds life so exciting. In this book, Ziggy comes across all sorts of interesting animals such as rabbits and horses and swans - and many more. Ziggy loves meeting all them –although they don’t all love meeting him. This is very puzzling to a young dog. But there is, however, one animal that really confuses Ziggy and he is Ginger, the big ginger tomcat who also lives in the house. For much of the time, they do their own thing, but sometimes their paths cross and then they yap and snarl and screech at each other. But the more they fight, the more fun they have which makes the humans confused as well. Now Ziggy is special, because he can understand everything humans say and can even spell the words they use. Well almost. Readers will notice his spelling isn’t quite right – look out for his mistakes and try and work out what he means. ZIGGY – MORE CHEEKY DOGGY TALES describes all the adventures Ziggy has – and all the mischief he gets up to. He has loads and loads of fun doing all these things – and you will have loads and loads of fun reading about them. The book is suitable for children aged form 3 to 7.
