About this listen

An audiobook that could have been better

I've started reading Andreas' books to improve my German skills and prepare for a C1-level language test. I had read the second book four times before I dared to listen to the audio version.
The story itself is not bad, but it's somewhat naive or, at times, "too much," when, for example, everyone in the book enunciates LGBTQIAP+. I mean, yes, it's a fairy tale in a way aiming to create a safe space, but it could have been more 'realistic,' persuasive, and somehow smoother; it's hard to explain. I have listened to more than 40 gay romance books, all in English, and I have to admit that German writers lag behind in writing skills in this regard (English is not my first language, either).
The voice actors were also somehow robotic, not as passionate as they could have been. Of course, it's hard to find someone like Teddy Hamilton or Michael Crouch, but why not to try, on the other hand?
At last, why on earth has the publisher broken the story into more than 200 parts? There were some 20 chapters, but instead, the listener gets 3-minute long snippets that are hard to navigate. Does the meaningless German bureaucracy meddle in the publishing, too?

However, apart from the above, I really enjoyed the books and this audiobook in particular (although my favorite book is the third one, and it's a shame that there is no audiobook) and am going to listen to the first one soon. I encourage the author to continue his work and look forward to his new publications!
