Publisher's summary

Characters are flat

I could not get into the story. The characters lack depth and nuance, the whole book is full of empty phrases and stereotypes. There are several cringeworthy passages, that make you think this book was written in the 1970s (e.g. it couldn’t have been rape, because the victim was an over weight woman in her 50s, hence probably not attractive - I’m paraphrasing here).
The only positive is the narrator voice.
