當人的暴行和罪惡滿盈，神無法再容忍的時候，他就決意要毀滅一切凡有氣息的。至今我們仍然能夠看見埋在世界各地的高山和深谷的岩層中的動物化石和遺骸。很多動物都是在神對大地的可怕審判中死去的。
神已經宣告下一次的審判是要用火來實行毀滅。在新約聖經的《彼得後書》三章十節中我們看見了這些話：「但主來的日子要像賊來到一樣。那日，天必在大響聲中廢去，有形質的都要被烈火銷化，地和其上的物都要燒盡了。」
