藤本滝は、落差26.2m、幅15m。薩摩華厳と称される2段階の滝で、真夏でも周辺は涼しく、避暑に最適。滝の手前には小さな橋があり、渡って向こう岸の展望台や岩下の棚田、岩下仙峡方面に抜けられます。
市比野温泉は、江戸時代から大衆のための湯治場として栄えました。泉質の良さは有名で、遠方から多くのお客様がお越しになります。
