  • Dr. Joe Eastwood holds a PHD in experimental social psychology and is a professor of psychology at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. His research interests center on improving policing procedures through psychological science. He has a particular focus on investigative interviewing, alibis, comprehension of legal rights and wrongful convictions. Dr. Eastwood works closely with police and government and is the director of the Applied Law Enforcement Research and Training (ALERT) lab, a lab that aims to improve law enforcement practices through psychological science.
