All of Scripture primarily speaks of the Lord Jesus and then, of us in relation to Him. Everything the Scriptures reveal about the Lord Jesus (the prototype man) serves as a reference point for who we are destined to be, according to how we were created. We can only be anointed and fully understand what it means to be anointed by looking to Jesus Christ, the Anointed One.

He also highlights the divine purpose for which the Lord anointed His Human, and concludes by emphasising the need for men to pay the price of consecration in order to be anointed.

Beloved, just as the Lord’s Human was anointed, you too can be anointed, if you yield to Him. The Spirit of the Lord can go forth out of you, for the benefit of many. You are destined to be the very aroma of Christ!
