About this listen
Our affections (will) form our very nature. We helplessly give in to what we love: therefore, we are weak against that which we love. In the same vein, hell is one thing that a man knows will destroy him, yet he continues to indulge in because he has an affection (a craving) for it. This is a paradox. Even though hell has torment, a man is willing to bear that torment, as long as he can participate in that which he delights in; however fleeting it may be. The torment is not enough to deter him. Such is hell!
In this episode titled "Hell is a Place of Weakness", Pastor Jeffrey Walter explains how a man is a slave to the evils he delights in, such that this delight is enough to make him want to bear any associated torment. He describes hell as a state of weakness because the very thing a man loves is used to manipulate and enslave him. This makes him susceptible to fears and attacks. Additionally, Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches that the torment of hell is never enough to bring a man to repentance; only the teaching of doctrine (truth) is. Without the recognition that the evil desires he loves, and their associated hellish nature are a sin against the Lord, a man will continue to indulge in his sins.
This message will open your eyes to see what the evils we love are truly doing to us. You will understand how they open us up to demonic attacks and weaken us. May God help us to delight in good instead of evil!
Scriptures (KJV): Luke 16:27-31, Proverbs 10:22, Genesis 3:4-5, 1 John 2:15
