About this listen
Man is a weakling; incomparable in wisdom and prowess relative to spirit beings (angels, /good spirits and devils/evil spirits) because of the flesh. The influence of these spirits on humans is determined by one’s affinity for good(righteousness) or evil. The person who yields his/her will to love evil becomes a prey for devils and evil spirits, susceptible to demonic infestations and is plagued on every level. Such people who surrender their wills become helpless in the hands of their captors. However, God desires that people will be free from every form of bondage. Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
In this March 2025 Special Programme, Pastor Jeffrey Walter opens our eyes to the spiritual principles and dynamics that define hell. He demonstrates how a good understanding of hell is an important cornerstone in our warfare against hell and striving in our Christian walk the way God wants us to. He reveals why people choose hell in spite of its torment.
In this episode, “The Lawful Captive”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter explains the relationship between humans, devils and angels. He describes the process by which man becomes a lawful captive/slave of hell: yielding one’s will to evil affections. Furthermore, he establishes that it is only the Lord who can save man from captivity through the process of transformation which is initiated by an awareness of his state of captivity (i.e., let there be light).
Note: This message is one of a 4-part series on Hell, preached during the CAFAN Special Program held in Kumasi, from March 27th to March 30th, 2025. Kindly listen to the entire series for a complete appreciation.
