有三种表白体现在使徒的信仰里。
第一,他们表白信仰万能的父神,天和地的造物主(创世记1:1)；第二,他们表白耶稣基督是神的儿子,已经赦免了他们的罪孽；第三,他们表白耶稣基督因圣灵而受孕。我们还必须表白信仰父神,儿子和圣灵,因为我们必须和使徒们拥有同样的信仰。
对于我们来说,父是神,就像子和圣灵也是神一样。就父,子和圣灵的本质而言,他们同样都是神,因为我们对它们的信仰都是相同的。比如说,因为父是万能的神,子也是万能的神。换句话说,神圣三位一体的三个人实质上都是同一位神。我们因此相信父,子和圣灵三者从根本上讲完全为一。因此,为了使我们建立信仰神的道的基础,我们必须停泊在真理的道里。
