و في الحقيقة، لو أن اللهَ يختار فقط البعض منّا، فلا يمكن إلا أن نكون معذبين بالسّؤالِ التالي، "هلْ أنا مختار للخلاص؟" و إذا لم نكن مختارين، سَيَكُونُ الإيمان بيسوع بلا فائدة لنا. و من ثم فإن هذه النّظريةِ قَدْ جَعلتْ العديد من الناس أكثر اهتماماً بسواء هم مختارين من الله عن الاهتمام بالإيمان نفسه .
