About this listen
In this episode I chat to Camelia, a dear friend of mine, about growing up Persian, going to school being from another culture.
We get explore what it is like to be creative, her love of travel and how we met. Camelia is beautifully open about her experience and life.
We recorded this episode at Camelia's home in Sydney, Australia. Being Persian she offers me dates and dark chocolate, which you might hear me eating in the background. I have purposefully kept the recording raw and unedited.
In our conversation, we explore many topics, including self doubt, mental illness, family, creativity, and racism.
I encourage you to listen with an open heart, but be prepared that the subject matter can be difficult at times. Go gently.
If you are struggling with mental health, please reach out for help. There are many resources available, including Lifeline Australia (13 11 14).
