#63 How to help the children of Vietnam? with Thanh Vo, Vietnam Deputy Director at Christina Noble Children's Foundation

  • Summary

  • Yvan Gatignon connected halfway around the world with Thanh Vo, Vietnam Deputy Director at Christina Noble Children's Foundation. The Christina Noble Children's Foundation is an non-governmental organization dedicated to serving the world's oppressed and marginalized children. It was founded following a visit to Vietnam by Christina Noble, who was prompted by a dream she had had during the time of the Vietnam War, of Vietnamese children begging for her help. After visiting the country in 1989, Noble founded the foundation in 1991 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Thanh tells me about his personal journey and her commitment to the causes of disadvantaged young people. She explains to me how CNCF has established a number of health centers and has been involved in a number of community development projects such as rural water programs. It has also established kindergartens and schools for underprivileged children in Vietnam. What are the specific challenges of education in Vietnam? You will find out by listening to my exchange with Thanh Vo.

👉 CNCF is 1 of the 8 NGOs benefitting of the Air Liquide international Sport for Good Hackathon in May.
