為什麼耶穌要在逾越節前一天給彼得洗腳？耶穌洗腳的時候說：「我所做的，你如今不知道，後來必明白」。西門彼得是耶穌門徒中最優秀的。他相信耶穌是主(God)的兒子，並見證耶穌是基督。而且當耶穌洗腳時，這樣做肯定是有原因的。當彼得承認他相信耶穌是基督時，這意味著他相信耶穌是救主，將把他從所有的罪中拯救出來。
