    Nov 18 2024

This week, I speak with Carrie Watts, who lives in Brandon, Mississippi. Her favorite time of day is early morning, enjoying quiet moments with God’s word, writing in her prayer journal, sipping on coffee, and capturing the beauty of the sunrise. Writing a book is a new adventure for Carrie, one she welcomes in the second half of her life. Although her degree is in nursing, her husband’s Air Force career led them to move frequently, which allowed her to focus on raising their three boys. She enjoys volunteering at church in women’s ministry and spiritual counseling. She facilitates a small group of ladies studying the Bible in her home. Carrie’s passion is to help women heal and step confidently into God’s purpose and plan for their lives. Her debut YA Christian fiction novel, Crisis of Faith, will be released this week. We look at her childhood up to the present to find the beautiful thread of Jesus in her life - You won’t want to miss this encouraging episode!

Organic Conversations make a story

What a gift Amanda has for taking a story, your story, and finding the God moments in it. Amanda uses her own journey with God as the back drop to show what a wonderful tapestry can be made by simply being grateful in each moment and knowing that our own gratitude expands as we let Jesus be the Source that fills our cup.
I love Amanda's organic approach to simply have a conversation with as many people as she can. She allows us to reveal where God is in our stories. They maybe be different, but with an open and grateful heart, Amanda shows how one small focus on gratitude can shift us right into the places God wants to write His story in us. I am grateful Amanda is giving her voice along with ours to tell the Savior's Story and what He does in ours.
I love each episode and the richness it brings when we lean in, listen and express a heart full of gratitude.
