  • Episode 62: The History of Witchcraft - A Possibly Impossible Task - Part ONE
    Jun 28 2024

Here we go! This history is meant to be a primer, by which one can jump start their own exploration into deeper and more specific history based on their own cultural or traditional background. Otherwise we would need 100 episodes rather than 2! So, I hope this offers some insight and inspiration to start your digging. With Part One, we're starting off with practices from the Stone Age Eras, moving into Ancient civilizations, proceeding into the Middle Ages and finally ending with the Witch Trials that spanned the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Early Modern Era. Next week, we'll pick up at the Renaissance, where intellectual knowledge in the occult absolutely flourished, while also covering the pagan and magickal practices of the common folks and some communities that have been heavily borrowed from, but aren't acknowledged frequently enough. *I should note - individuals who were persecuted and executed during the witch trails were very very rarely actual witches and I will be going into detail about that fact next week! For now, Happy listening!

  • Episode 61: Fortune & Flora - The Fives of the Tarot & Elder, the Guardian Tree
    Jun 8 2024

Welp, the Fives of the Tarot kind of suck! But so do the situations that bring about our most valuable lessons in this life. So, lets level up together with a dive into the nature of these somewhat unsettling cards. It could be worse. You could have cut down an Elder Tree without asking permission and making an offering! We're also taking a close look at this incredibly magickal plant spirit, some folklore surrounding it, and how it can be a major player in your magickal practice today.

  • Episode 60: A Series of Symbols - The Pentagram & the Pentacle
    May 26 2024

Finally! Apologies for the delay on this episode... I hope it's worth the wait! Inspired by some good ole fashion Satanic Panic, I decided to start a new series on Symbols found throughout Witchcraft, Paganism, the Occult and Folk Traditions - starting off, of course, with the Pentagram and Pentacle. Let's take a look at its history, its mathematical perfection, its symbolic meaning today, compared to its historical meanings - and why it's... just... awesome! I'm also starting this episode off with a little tribute to my recently passed companion, Boone, who graced this planet with his incredible light for 16 years and 9 days. This episode is an offering to a new ancestor. Be blessed.

Very Solid

I'm not much of a podcast person, tending to prefer full audio books, but this podcast is changing my mind. It provides solid information in a humble, accessible way. Highly recommend.

This is a great podcast and so relaxing to listen to

When I listen to this podcast I feel like I’m talking to a witchy friend about something I’m not to familiar with, and she’s happily informing me on what I don’t know. I enjoy listening to this podcast while I drive, work on my laptop, or cook, and it always puts my mind at ease. Keep up the good work!
